Auto Parts Stores

Every time I change plugs in my car, AZ gives the wrong ones. Every time!!!!

I have taken to bringing one of the old ones in (drove truck of course) to save time.

Oh and when you ask for a gasket for a 8.8 rear end or a 9 inch, well, back in the day that was all you have to do. Now they want to know what the paint color is on your toenails.......

The world is getting dumber, not smarter, with computers.
WAIT !!! You paint your toenails ? What color ?

I guess I was spoiled by working at a dealer that had experienced countermen and dealing with parts jobbers who were also experienced before I visited autozone the first time. I realize the computer is prompting them to ask questions. I always have the VIN but Autozone doesn't seem to know what to do with it.

Their computer software has no input for a VIN. The only time a VIN comes into play on that system is when a customer is doing something they probably shouldn't be doing themselves and for example have no idea what type of transfer case they have on a vehicle with 6 different powertrain options. So the computer will say something like (case 425z9 is for VIN X digit 8) and then you go out to their car and figure it out for them.

Or most of the time those rediculus questions no one thinks matter will narrow it down because trim level XUV only comes with one powertrain option.

You could bitch and call the guy making 6 dollars an hour a moron, or just let him put the information in the computer and find you the part...

IT'S A RETAIL CASHIERS JOB! If your good at it, you don't stay there long.
