auto drakening welding helmits

If that's true, the HF is over twice as fast for 1/3rd the cost...
well i was not quite right the $49 one has 1/20,000 of a sec , another one i was looking at has the 1/25,000 of a sec but still its faster then the $150 hobart that has a 1/12,000 of a sec , i am thinking i will just get a fixed shade helmit and maybe use a lite in front of it , its not like i am going to be welding alot , plus the other thing is i don't know how long a auto helmit would hold up in a cold shop , thanks

I am using my Sellstrom helmet w/Xelux gold lense and really like it but it is almost too sensitive to flash changes. They are made in Sweden, and it cost a bit over $400 when I got it. Very pricie for sure, since the main lens has a gold film on it that should not get scratched or it is worthless and a new lens costs over $200. Here is the updated version of the one I have;

I have a Miller Elite at work and it gets abused 6-7 days a week without failing. also has the larger window in it, 4 sensors, infinitely adjustable shade dial, sensitivity dial, and even the delay is adjustable. Only thing I dont like about it is the fact that it is a little narrow at the bottom and I do occasionally burn my neck.
