We use a Grizzle 660 with a 48" plow which is really nice. Winch, manual angle, 4x4 with diff locks. shoves through 24" of powder great and 12-18" of heavier snow.
Kinda says a lot about 2wd vs 4wd, with my 6' blade angled it is a fight for much more than a foot of snow with my 5k lb 2wd tractor without chains. You have to stay awake on the brakes for steering and to maintain traction.
Then I put the field chains on and can go about anywhere I want doing about whatever I want.
