Could there be a consolidated thread for those looking for info for doing this swap? The format would be as follows:

1) Engine (year/model/options) going into ranger (year ranges, models, etc.)

a) versions of engines (pros of each)
b) versions of ecus (pros of each)
c) year ranges of ranger pros and cons (difficulties, ecu and wiring differences, etc..)

2) Tuning

a) What is needed to run a stock turbo ecu in each year range ranger
b) converting dual plug harness to work with single plug ecu (or can the stock harness be kept and just delete one coil pack?)
c) how to tune the stock ecus (versions and benefits) from start to finish with each tuning option.
d) where to get base maps, how to make changes, etc... (yeah liability etc... each person is responsible for their car yada yada)

3) supporting mods

a) Transmission (is it strong enough, upgrades, clutches, fluid)
b) Driveline (what rear ends are good, ratios, etc...)
c) OEM boost control, aftermarket boost control, MBC, none (benefits of each)
d) Radiators/Cooling mods


Anything else I missed.
