At home haircuts?

I have an older professional Remington clipper that works excellent. I just tried to google them with no luck, so I suppose I can't recommend them, and nothing I found from Remington that they currently make looks decent. It's corded, has all the different guides, and an adjustable guide. I will grow a thick beard on and off - and these clippers work so good that when I decide to remove my beard, I can shave with them close enough to get it down to about a day's worth of stubble length in one pass. I usually can cut my own hair in under 5 minutes and make it look good. These also get varied bit of use - I trim my poodle with 'em, too.

"A man who cuts his own hair has a fool for a barber." -Poor Richard

I've laughed at a lot of self barbers. I don't discourage the practice.

A commercial set of clippers is needed. I wouln't go by brand so much as by cost. Even the good brands are putting out cheap, homeowner prodcuts in order to survive. As with any tool, do research.

I had long hair when I left home 25 years ago. They cut it short in bootcamp. From then until I met my wife in '93 I either got a field cut from some guy on my gun section, or by a 4' Filipino gal at the base barbershop. Every week. My wife, who had brothers to practice on as a young lady, cuts a fine head of hair. She started in on me and has been chopping away at my head and self esteem for the last whateveritis years. Between my daughters and my nieces there are 9 girls and she cuts their hair, plus both grandmas and a number of sisters-in-law. And there are boys, too. They don't care how it looks, though. I'm sure they'lll grow up to cut it themselves because the money is better spent on a 12-pack.

I/my GF cuts mine. bought a $30 wahl set of clippers. has the big ones you plug in and a battery powered mini clippers for beards. been doin that since freshman yr in high school.

my wahl clippers work for me. i just stick on the #1 guard and go with it.

Huh, thats funny, I just cut mine today. My clippers are a cheap as heck conair set. I just oil them with the oil that came with the set occasionally, and two years later, they are still functioning like new.

The set came with every guide, a nice comb, fiber brush, decent sized tube of oil(still 90% full after 4 oilings), decent plastic case, hair scissors, and a 29.99 dollar price tag!

Haircut Mishap photos!!! Like if you forgot to put on the correct floppies attachment or even an attachment at all and gave yourself an inverted Mohawk!

i just bought a Wahl set today. WOW, i'm glad my buddy wont return my POS conair set i had.
