Argh... Speeding Ticket.

Well actually I had a cop friend judge it, with me using her gun. I think all of our polices stuff is wonky, I had put some 35% for a month and got pulled over and the little thing that test tint said it was like 12 or 15%. I also judge by the speed trailer things. 3mphs fast with my winter tires (235/75/15's), and around 6mphs with my summers 31's.
and I don't want to bash cops, most of them are pretty cool, but this guy was just a Dick!

Speed is not off by MPHs, it's off by a percentage. You likely tested your speed at a lower speed than what you were driving when you got pulled over therefore your speedometer was reading even slower than when you tested your speed.

Well I tested it around 50 mph's because every road except the two roads through town are 45's, in town one is a 25 zone and the other a 35 zone.

I figured it went up by a percentage, my 31's is about .1 so about 10%.

Time to invest in a suit and tie. Actually my best friend mom is a SPEED DEMON! She gets out of them all of the time... actually I don't know that she has ever gotten one that I know of, I am going to ask her to help me out. Except its on april 1, sooooo far away.

Dude, if you pull an April Fools prank on the judge when you go in, it will be epic.

Well I know I always want to know how they determined how fast I was going. And in your case you should have had him clarify when/where you were. A lot of time they just judge your speed, I believe they are "trained" to do that. You can ask these questions, just don't ever seem like your being rude. Also, if you're feeling ballsy, ask when the radar/lazer was last calibrated.

Every time I've ever been given a citation, It was fully explained why and what it was, how much $ and how many points..... Sign here. Didn't this happen for you? Might be able to get off on minor legallity. But really, just take the defensive driving course and be done with it.

I think the troopers around here are respected more than the city cops. There is definitly a different aura about when "The troopers are here!" They are generally very respectful of your person (lol), but everyone has a bad day. I don't see troopers as pests that patrol the streets looking for quota tickets. They are more concerned with bigger "projects".

BTW, I always try to do what you did and get off the main road. Even have driven a good distance with the cop behind me lights flashing before turning onto a side street or parking lot. They've never said anything negative about it. Considering they park their cruisers half in the driving lane (for their safety) while they talk to you, I feel safer pulling off the road completely anyways.

Yeah I actually laughed when I looked at it... but its my first ticket I I would like to remove it if possible... Maybe the judge has a sense of humor? lol

I know! Its Crazy! makes sense though seeing as most kids driving jacked up trucks and stuff drive drunk and speed and all sorts of hell. I will maybe have 1 beer if I know I don't have to drive anyone.

Yeah I was wondering cause the truck had ice on the windows and stuff, I wish I'd know this stuff before but this guy was just ina really pissy mood and I didn't want to say anything. Nope he said nothing except that I should have pulled over for flashing his lights in the middle of the road... (I was turning to the parking lot) yelled at me for that first thing. Yeah troopers don't do much here except drug busts and stuff.

I wasn't trying intentionally to get off the road, I was actually pulling into the elementary school to help out with a class (for my college class project). And his lights were off all the way down the hill till I was in the turning lane, then BAM! on my ass lights a blazin' (no siren though?) and we settled it in the parkinglot... well more like he got mad and yelled a bunch then gave me a ticket for 1mph over speeding giving me just barely 4 points.
