Arc welder???

I just finished a 5 week stick welding class. 5 hours a night 5 nights a week at the local college. I decided to go back to school to weld. I would stick weld your bumpers and things. You will need electric grinder and wire brush along with a cutting torch. If you take a class you will learn how to properly make joints that will not come apart. You could do a cage with it if you were good, just won't pass nhra lol. There is alot more to stick welding than just dragging a rod around.

Take a welding class. Its much cheaper to learn in the long run I am about to take my third semester this fall, gonna start overhead arc weld.

I start advanced monday, for 5 weeks. The pipe line welding in the fall. Ill miss the mig and tig class but teaching myself that should be no problem after mastering stick welding. By the way if you have to weld outside you need a stick welder or flux core wire. Can use gas out side due to wind. My welding class was 240$ tuition. That is a low price considering how much metal and crap you use.
