Anything wrong with buying locally?

I got my 4" Polks on my dash from NFM, they were on the bargain table a couple years ago for $30 rather than the $90 list price.

I got my rear 6.5 speakers (Kenwood??, they are behind the seat and I haven't really looked at them since I put them in 6 years ago) at Wally-World... that and a Pioneer HU is the extent of my "system"

You have to know what you want as far as mounting kits and harnesses go but keeping track of that isn't rocket science. I buy all of my stuff over the counter.

great to see a local on here :)

sucky weather lately huh?

thanks for the input... thinking about checking out NFM and Best Buy... not sure if I should go to a specially dedicated car audio store or not.. I feel like since they can claim they are "professional" that they will up their prices

well most tweeters are .75" which is kinda inefficient but you usually need to shell out some $$$$ for components with a 1"

okay, well everything is at a standstill right now.. i thought i just needed an offset screwdriver to get my last screw out (triangle shaped screwing pattern for my dash speakers... the one that was closest to the windshield couldn't be reached by even the smallest screwdriver i could find which was about 2" long)

anyway, so i got an offset one, and it took forever because i could only do about 3/8 rotations instead of a full one... but the screw is out of the hole.. but there's like a plastic anchor holding it down!

i can't get it out guys! strong wtf.

it's like a baby tooth.. hanging on by the tiny-est little thread.. you just want it OUT!! but you can't fcuking get it!

gonna try getting it out with a magnetic screwdriver/drill bit

it's so fustrating...
I can see where I could take out the whole black metal dash piece, but i'd have to take apart my ENTIRE dash... I don't want to do that.
