Was thinking about getting the P90x DVDs to start a new work out, wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

I was on it but my painting equipment is in the way right now.

Simply put, it works. And even if you don't finish the entire workout, do the cool down at the end or you'll be so sore you won't be able to move. Don't ask me how I know.

I was down 6lbs before I had to take up my workout space to make some extra cash. Now it's time to clean all of that out and start over.

Well I really need to get into shape before ROTC and The National Guard and the P90x system seems to have really good reviews. Thanks for the input!

I did Army Rotc the 1st year and half of college before decided rather join marines after college. I wasnt in good shape at all so dont worry man they WILL get you there, when I was in it the workouts where 3 days a week for 2 hours and they werent crazy hardcore but they really paid off. My 2 mile time started at 19mins and ended up at 13mins in about a little over a semester.

As for P90x, buy it off craigslist or something so its cheap, and yea man it works even if you dont eat the right way or diet, you will still get pretty toned up and stuff, but yea do the cool downs or youll be sore, other then that I remember in high school the wrestling team used it alot. I did it my second semester after I got out of Rotc so go for it if you want to get tone.

But remeber tone and muscle dont mean everything, gotta have endurance so if your jacked with muscles they fill up with blood and fatigue faster. So food for thought man.

thats just my 2cents

No thats not me in my avatar, I just think that picture is hilarious. I may or may not have just downloaded the whole p90x dvd set....:D I eat really healthy, just wanting to get some more muscle and get my cardio back to peak level. Thanks for the input everyone!

I downloaded it, tried it, lasted 3 days. I am too out of shape to get in shape.

C'mon!

Round is a shape. :icon_thumby:

A regular lifting routine and correct diet will work just as well, if not better than P90X. You just need the motivation and commitment to see changes. P90X makes it easy because its all laid out for you.

I like a definitive path to take Im pretty new to the whole working out thing and I believe this will give me a good starting point, especially when it comes to correct form.

Having thought of trying it, I think it's a decent workout.

Follow the diet it tells you to. Eating right helps with losing weight, I laid off shit( fast food, chips, fried food, etc), cut down carbs, soda, and ate good home cooked meats and vegtables with some fruit..... Lost 38lbs in 3 months.

Imagine if I did this workout?

I hope I dont lose weight I eat healthy and really want to gain some weight. I have 9% body fat right now.

I previewed it a year or so ago, looked like you had to buy a bunch of equipment so I decided to skip it. Can anyone confirm that you have to buy equipment and diet supplements.

Dumbells, a chin up bar, maybe some bands. I happened to have them all so i was in luck. The only supplement I have heard is protien. I dont believe in most this other junk.
