Someone offered me a 4 inch rancho lift kit for my 88 for $150. Sounds like a good deal to me but I havent seen it yet. I also dont know what they cost new because my computer will not load the rancho site. Any info on one of these kits will help.

buy it, the bracketry alone is worth is

Not sure if rancho made a 4". I know my old 2.5" that I parted out was ok, its just that people have problems w/ the brackets and need to reinforce them. For that price though go for it definatley.

Also dont worry about going to ranchos web site they dont make it anymore. Go to the tech section on this web page and find the one that was posted in the instruction section

Correct, Rancho never made a 4" Ranger kit, has to be another brand (or it's a 2.5" kit).

The Rancho kit I had broke apart or cracked almost just by sneezing at it. It was junk.
Plus the STOCK tires rubbed the radius arms, too (and not just slightly, they rubbed enough to steal several feet off your turning circle).

Haha. I agree with the radius arms. That is a good point. The dana 35 and 3.75 bs helped but they still rubbed pretty good.

But I think that it will take more abuse than a sneezing. It is not great by any means but I had mine for over a year with no problems and it was on a ranger before that and the same was true. (Not a lot of off road though, so I am sure that helped the longevity)
