Anybody else out of work due to the beer disease?

Well, maybe. Especially if you're of the opinion that she shouldn't be sharing germs. Or bodily fluids (except with her husband).

Yes, I would enjoy much less sharing of the bodily fluids. Especially less sharing of them with me.

If I could get her to stop eating booger too that'd be nice.

Still working at the moment. Economically, parts for production may become an issue. But our plant is the company's biggest money-maker. So they will probably close other plants and funnel parts to us as long as possible. When that dries up, I'm in maintenance and we have enough shutdown projects and preventive maintenance to keep us busy for a little while. However, there is the whole issue of government possibly shutting things down and making people stay home. That's a whole different story.

I hit the semi-empty grocery store tonight. I now have enough miscellaneous food items to make some really amusing menus for a few weeks for survival. Reminds me of my time on the submarine. If we stayed out to sea longer than expected, the cooks would finally get to the back of the store room/freezer/refrigerator and would try to come up with menus using whatever they had left. Very entertaining. One time they got down to the cans that no longer had labels.

In the sub service you are not out of food until you have to go fishing.

The county never closes... I don’t get to go home unless me or someone in my house is sick.
My wife’s company closed the office, stopped all travel, and has everyone working from home.

All municipal courts are closed indifferently here. So if you wanna get some traffic violations or petty misdemeanours in, now is your chance. County courts still open so try to hold off on the criminal offenses and felonies.

That sounds like a challenge...

Small company in the off season so not much really going for foot traffic.

Wife’s work is in lockdown, they get their temperature checked as they punch in In the mornings. Customers are not allowed in unless for emergencies (cell phone company)

My mom works at a nursing home, shes been on vacation for the past 2 weeks... I'll be interested to see how totally effed the place is when she gets back. I imagine they probably have the place on a pretty good lockdown.

The ones around here are. No visitors.

Grocery stores are closing early. Restaurants are drive through only. I work in the mailroom for child support and will probably be one of the last departments to get shut down, if any get shut down. But i would love it honestly. I could do some major work on getting the Vulcan out of the engine bay.

I hope you're not planning to swap that Vulcan for a 2.9!!!!

At least the only bodily fluids she's sharing with you (I hope!) are snot.

I haul milk.

We run in level 3 snow emergenicies, tornadoes, nuclear war....

We are considered "essintial" as well cause evidently raw milk is important. I could see some of the dairys closing as having to take everything to the co-op plant, but eh its a shorter drive and i make more anyways.

We are still open... Not sure how important an RV dealership is but I know I just ordered $6000 in parts yesterday and cant afford to have a $6000 generator floating around shipping places. It will end up "lost" and then we will be out $6000..... Yes I said $6000 not $600..... Ever price a brand new 7000w cummins generator? They aint cheap. Let alone all the other parts we have coming from the manufactures on a daily basis.... I ain't rich and we do ok financially but with the delay in our taxes (someone tried claiming one of our foster kids when they didn't have the right to) we don't have that nice lump sum of money sitting in the bank and who knows when it will come in with all this corona virus crap going on... It would just be nice to know there is money in the bank....

Not sure if money will be worth anything in the next year though.... Anyone sell gold or silver?

Being a DOD civilian during the week and a Traditional Guardsman, I don’t see us shutting down. My girlfriend works in home healthcare, so she won’t be getting laid off.

We did have the distasteful task of meeting and making decisions for shutting down the VFW Post die to the Governor’s decision. We were hoping to at least keep the full time employees somewhat employed. All but the bare necessities are being shutoff.

still open where Im at but who knows for how long. Good thing is I have lots of projects to do and parts for the most of them. Im holding off on getting tires for my “new” wheels, not knowing whats going to happen it doesnt seem wise to drop 500+ on tires when I have plenty of other tires that fit the truck and hold air. Driving the car instead of the truck anyhow, it gets better milage and I feel the need to save as much as possible.
