Any seat recommendations for a 6ft guy in a single cab

I'm 6'3 and i have seats from an 87 mustang in my 85 reg. cab and they are the most uncomfortable things i've ever sat in, no leg room, you can't lean it back my head hits the ceiling if i don't slouch really regretting not having my bench seat in there but animals got in my barn and tore the crap ot of my cover and padding so this sucks lol my advice to you is to stick to factory unless you can lower the floorboard like frank said :icon_welder:

6'-3" and I get along fine with the factory bench in my '85. I have fairly long legs and my knees touch nothing.

I'm 6'4" - 265 pounds, my sister has a 96 reg cab ranger, It's a but tight for me, I bust my knees when getting in and out, and I have a 88 super cab, the seats go back a little futher, but i still bust my kness getting in and out, and both trucks have the 60/40 seats.

I'm 5ft tall with short legs & I need to take out my bench seats cuz I have done a v8 swap & a tranny swap & the postion of my c-6 tranny & my B & M shifter is now my bench seat can't go all the way up for my short legs reach the gas petal good. Is there a bucket seats with a consol or no consol work in a 1985 Ford Ranger XLT Reg.Cab.
Any help will be great.

Well, I do not know what I can add to this discussion, but here goes. I have a 92 Ranger single cab, and am 6'2". My truck had the 60/40 factory seats that were extremely dirty when I picked it up. Not having any luck cleaning them, I found a 96 Ranger with similar seats, however the seat brackets & rails were different. I wound up pulling the brackets off my original seats and exchanging them with the new seats. Having said all this, the newer seats sat lower by about an inch.

Good Luck:icon_thumby:

Well, I'm 6'1" and 300lbs. Have a '95 Reg cab and no problems. I guess I'm just used to it. It's comfortable, although the seats felt saggy so I picked up a set from a 2008 for $150. Looks like I'll have to build custom mounts.

the new seats use new mounts?

well im 6'4 and i have an 86 reg cab w/ bench seat and im actually as comfortable as i am in my 93 f250 ex cab w/ bucket seats

i like having my leggs less bent when driving. i love driving my wifes taurus. i drove a buddies extended cab ranger and i want one now, but with saving for a down payment for buying a house buying a differant truck is out of the question.

The 1998 and newer Rangers cabs are 3" longer than the 97 and down

I’m 6’2”/200lbs, my ’88 and ’95 Std Cabs were OK no big problems but since I got the 03, wow.
It may have only 3”s but it feels like more.

Stick to OEM Seats, maybe Buckets if you can find them.

Ex Seats will take some room away and may not be right for you.
Sport Tracs will do the same even though they are different shape than the stock Ex Seats.
Your limited...

Got my 2008 60/40 mounted in my '95. Really comfy and lots of room. Took a bit of thinking but I got 'em in. Looks like a whole new truck now.

Again... 6'1", 295 lbs, and got plenty enough room. I drive about 120 kms a day to work and back and have no problems.

Just to be a smartass here....get a jumperseat out of an extended cab and stick it in there....they're much smaller...lol...

In all seriousness though, I'm 6'2 275lbs, You could modify the steering wheel bracket, can cut almost 1/2in off there....you can also lower your seat a few inchs ( downside of this being it'll never move again ). Unless you made custom brackets, Another option would be to take a set of seats out of a dodge caravan, they're about 2 inches shorter than ranger seats if I remember correctly.
You could also always modify your steering wheel to make it shorter....OR hell, just modify your truck to push button operation....and a joystick...lol, just being a smartass again...lol. Would be cool though....
