any 1st gen's with a 3" BL??

I think I'm going to do the BL for now and try and find some used 31's for now.

Maybe when my 78 is done i'll go back and sas it and just forget about the D35 TTB.

But really all I will do with it is ride river bed, play in the mud some, and DD it.

Here ya go. 1's gen, 3" PA BL, 31's and a a few extras

unless the fenders are thoroughly rusted out, trimming them should be a very last resort. they aren't making 1st gens anymore and they are getting harder to find in the jy's, depending on where you live. try to keep the body stock as long as you can.
also, while you're doing the lift, might as well replace the body mount bushings. another $50 or so is all they cost and well worth it for the nicer ride.
just my $.02.

D35

I know people who have broken lots of D28 axles with 31" tires! For how easy it is to do, I'd swap in a D35 and you'd never have to worry about it!

Strvger: body panels are staying, even though there are 3 or 4 1st gen's in a local yard, I don't like cutting up my DD...
Jamie4ltr: where do you live? Alberta right? Ok yea, you have snow, huge hills, mountians and probably lots of pretty difficult and hard trails that you all ride. Me, I'm at the other end of the content, where the only trail that is entertaining is old river passage ways that are full of mud... And shallow river beds, that's it. Plus I baby it and it will be on the street 95% of the time. This is by no means a trail truck

Yup, 7" is all you need. That's what I'm running granted mine's all suspension lift, but 7" is 7".

that's sick! so now i gotta make up my mind if im gonna try to squeeze 35's instead of 33's once im done with my 2" spacer lift on top of my 3" BL...

If you compare pic 2 (uncut) with pic 3 (cut),use the side marker light for referance,a lot of the front fender was removed.
For the back I didnt have to trim at all from the first pic.I think I cut around 2" out of the bed side.It was rusty anyway.
PM me for anything you want to know about it,thinking hard about selling it.

Man, you were seriously tuckin them 44's... But they're on it! I wouldn't believe it if you told me...
