Anti-Theft Mods

I love trunk monkey. Those things are awesome. I remember when Ford offered those as a factory option for a few years there. I think it was mostly on the CVTCGM platform though.

I believe that's a chimpanzee, not a monkey.

Booooooooooooooooooo!

Even the country isn't safe. he smartest thieves know to go to the country for hunting. Less chances of being caught and, as proven here, less resistance.

Step 1. Join NRA
Step 2. Affix membership decal to back window of pickup.

Joyriders and such don't want to mess around with someone's pickup who may be a nut job with lots of guns.

+100000000 My fav phrase is 'Guns don't kill people, I do.' The art of gun control is squeezing the trigger not pulling it. As well as LEAVING YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER. :icon_cheers::icon_hornsup:

I always though that gun control meant using both hands and making sure you had enough ammo.

a freind had a TR6 that was always parked in a parkade in vancouver-someone slashed the top to get in....the kicker is that the doors were not locked,so there was no need to do that type of damage.all they took was a crappy cassete deck.

That too. Now where is that gun smiley at...........................:threadjacked: minus the jacked part.

Yeah, I actually do have an NRA decal on my back window. Although it's not going to help if the truck's not parked outside my house.

So for a fuel pump switch do you just wire a switch into the circuit? Do you have to use a relay?

You should just be able to wire a simple On/Off toggle into the circuit. The relay is there to give the PCM a low amp device that it can use to control a high amp device so it doesn't get fried. As long as your switch can handle 10 to 20 amp you should be fine with no relay.

stock radio (good luck removing that, haha), and a rusty body and frame, if someone stole it I would track them down and yell at them for not taking the parts that fell off it, because from the way I am getting this frame, I amstarting basically from a clean start =P.

Where I am, a neighbor would steal it, hide it in their house, robably in the living room, and if you come over, cover it in garbage bags and tyell at their wife for not cleaning up the shit in the house as you pass it.

gun control

:The proper defintion of Gun Control is hitting where you aim. :headbang: We went out to the country cousin's ranch this 4th and one friend brought out a bowling ball morter. It shot a 6 lb ball almost three quarters of a mile. :icon_thumby: the heavery the ball the shorter the shot. But all in all that thing was awesome. :icon_surprised:

Now THAT is an anti theft device. :headbang:

my favourite way to keep my vehicles safe is to do 1 of 2 things, i happened across this by accident on both my f-250 and f-150, both ignitons broke, they would turn to the on position, but the start part didn't work... you go to your starter solenoid (if equiped) and run 2 wires from this to your dash, depending on how you want it to work, is what 2 wires... one of the wires is to go to one of the small screw terminals pictured here...
StarterRelayst404.jpg

the other is to go to either the wire that is connected to one of the small terminals, OR the large terminal, that has a wire directly to the positive terminal on your battery... put a push button (spring loaded) switch on the 2 wires you ran back to your dash.

if you splice this all in far enough away from the solenoid, even if someone pops the hood to see what's going on, you won't see anything out of the ordinary...

if you were to essentially put the button in line, to the existing circuit, going to the small terminal, it would be a 2 point contact system, so you turn the key to on, then start AND press your new button to start the motor, the other way, you no longer have a start function on your key, you turn the key to "on" and press the button to start the motor (a Key On power source is a much better idea, than just putting to the other terminal, but much more work)

like i said, 2 of my trucks have had these wired in, i had someone break into my 150, and try the ignition for a while, broke it all to hell trying to get it to start (ignition i had popped previously, but was still physically in tact) and the truck was still sitting there when i came out to go to work... except pieces of my column were on the floor...

like said above, if they want it, they are going to get it, BUT, if they need A vehicle, and yours is taking too much work, they will move on...
