Would this antenna work well with the Midland 1000?

couldn't tell you really. i'm sure the best results will come from antennas that use the truck sheet metal as the ground plane for better signal radiation.

The question with thru-the-glass mounts centers around what kind of glass you have in the truck. Some of the newer windshields have a metallic material present that gives this style antenna a hard time.
Look up applications for the "E_Z Pass" toll things. You'll find more RF-unfriendly windshields listed.

a little will works great i had one that worked pretty good. had it sitting up in the shop til recently and its shorted out so i went with a 4ft frances on a perm mount inside the bed.

It will work, but an antenna connected directly to the feedline will work a lot better.

Yes it will work ok. really should get wilson 1000 or similar. lots of good ones Lil will is good. The ant is everything to a cb. 18 ft. of good coax is also a must.IMO Best of luck

Thru-the-glass antennas do not work well and the Little Wil is a good magnet mount antenna.

Wilson makes some of the best overall CB antennas on the market, so any of their antennas will work fine, both their fiberglass and their metal shaft antennas.
A magnet mounted antenna usually has a good ground path to establish the ground plane necessary for good communications. Mounting an antenna any other way will require a ground between the antenna mount and the body/frame of the vehicle.

Main things to remember get a good quality antenna, next get good quality coax, then think about the CB.
