Another escape

Took the tractor around the block-on the trailer. My 4 cyl escape didn’t do too bad with it, I did keep it under 50 mph though.

Have a lasfit light bar arriving today, liked the 6” one the ranger had, this one is a 12”. Not sure yet if I will wire it to the highbeams or just a stand alone switch. Maybe have both options.

Got the light bar & wireing installed today, for now its a live circuit on the switch that came with the harness assembly. At some point I may have the light bar come on with the high beams but for now its just a simple easy & quick installation that works. Will be neat to see how well it works in the early morning darkness.

New front struts were delivered last week, just ordered a left side cv shaft seal & speedi-sleeve since I will be in that area & want to stop that leak.

New front struts today, sits more level now too. Only a hour per side, went the easy way with new assemblies.

Finally got around to that oil leak. Drivers side cv shaft where it goes into the transmission. Also replaced the bushing the shaft goes into to. Ive had the special tools for a month+ now but just now was able to get it done. The slide hammer puller for the bushing needs a bigger weight , It just wouldn’t move for me until I got the sawzall out to partially cut through the bushing & then it worked. Everything went back together good, hopefully the leak is cured. If nothing else it has a gallon of fresh fluid in it.

Winter was a little rough on the steel wheels so while I was rotating tires yesterday I sprayed them with some rickoluem silver. Put a harmonica on the top of the bull bar. not sure it will scare deer but at least it might annoy them away.

Thats where I got the idea, Ive drove it though & haven’t heard anything. Maybe I should try the roof rails on the wife’s escape.
