ANOTHER drop question

i have searched all 25 pages in the drop section and cant find what im looking for, so here goes.
i noticed people doing a 2"flip in the back to level it out. thats the look im going for, BUT....because mine is a 4cylinder (lighter=higher in the front) i was thinking of doing a 3" drop in the rear with chassis tech leaf springs. wondering if that will level it out? any mathmatical whizzes out there? any tried and true ways to measure before installing? dont want to flip and realize its still to high! dont want to unbox leafs and not be able to return them. thanks in advance. i found a pic online of the same xlt as mine with "3 leafs and 2" coils in front...lokked great but cant find pic again frustrating. navy blue single cab wide tires in back if you know of truck please attach. thanks

Your rear sits lower probably because it was used harder. All rangers had a rake when they were new, your springs are worn out. Getting drop leaves may not do anything as far as dropping it, but you will have new springs.
 
did you check the replies in your Suspension Thread ?
 
You'd be surprised how heavy those Lima's are (assuming this is the '94 vintage in your info) Fully dressed are around 450lbs. Not much lighter than a 302.

Measure what you have now. Add weight to the bed up against the tailgate until it's level or you get the look you want. Measure again. Order appropriate springs OR do appropriate mods.

In regards to the rear, the engine makes little difference as how it sits. a 3" drop could make the rear end look low (especially, assuming the front IS higher than comparable Rangers), a 2" would be closer to what you want.
