Another 1977 Pinto

you should just leave it at my house...

Got the orange pinto wiring out... almost 🙁. Got stuck at the firewall and one head light.

Headlight is holding on for dear life...

Hella torque out of that lil' 4 cyl. Nice launch.
Too bad it's parked. That is what the 'kids' call "3 wheel stance" if it's doing that while moving, it's "3 wheel motion"

I don't think torque is doing that, I suspect it has hydraulic suspension and whoever installed it should be neutered with a dull knife.

Got the harness out, repaired a few spots, and popped the wire and grommet into the firewall. Good enough for tonight. I'll see if I remember where all the ends go tomorrow. Need to pick up some bulbs too.

I'm going to have to disagree with those that say AMC only built ugly cars. If you don;t like this, then you probably don;t like the Pantera.

While it never made it to production, it's far from ugly. They may 'built' ugly cars for the public but their designers hada pretty decent eye. (IMHO).

EDIT: I was msitaken. AMC designers did not design this concept: "Just a handful of prototypes exist, and the one you see here is the very first. According to Hemmings, this particular AMX/3 was born out of a collaboration between Giotto Bizzarrini and Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign (AMC outsourced the design of the AMX/3 overseas).".
