Android app that records speed

New android app, called Pacecarz

It's pretty cool, you can track your speed and then upload it to the website, this way you can prove that you really went as fast as you did, comparing to friends speeds, etc...

It's new, and is still being refined, and it's free

Cool. Garmin GPS units also store like the last 300 miles or so in them. You can then upload the data into a program (can't think of the name off the top of my head) and it has speed, elevation, ect.

Yeah and there are also other apps that record speeds and such.

What I thought was cool was how you can upload the speed to the website, so that other people can see it. So you can show your buddies and stuff

I don't always trust GPS related equipment for maximum speed indication. My GPS once indicated my top speed was 150 mph and I know I had been no where near that speed. It is good for instantaneous speed and pretty good for indicating distance traveled. I don't know why occasionally I get an error for max speed.
