Just with the law of supply and demand that never works. Until there is a true replacement for fossil fuel there will be a demand. Honestly I won't be suprised if the price of gas goes up just to put the screws to everyone because they know everyone that skipped out will still have to buy it.

i believe that the supply and demand junk is bulls**t the earth creates its own fossil fuel everyday in the same wells demand will always be high and the supply will to the only reason we have to pay to much for OPAC oil is because they dont like us and they want money......just my .02

One little issue with that statement, um... well.... we burn oil WAY faster than the earth creates it, nice try though

just as a point it isnt our politicans that need to be sent a message. the orginization that causes the increase in oil prices and there for a higher price for gas is O.P.E.C.

ignorance of how the system works is why nothing can ever get accomplished. the places that you would effect by boycotting gas is the american economy because who owns the gas stations? american citizens. think shit through before post ignorant plans or even talk about them in public.

Now, if everybody in the U.S. takes a whole two weeks off of buying gas...this will work. The oil tycoons will loose billions of dollars. They will lower the price of gas and this will work...but how to get everybody at the same time not to do it?...Not going to happen.
The Alaskan pipe line doesn't even give Americans gas..it goes over seas...and American tax dollars paid for that pipeline...and what I really hate......every Alaskan that owns a home and has a family in that home gets a share check from the pipeline (everybody in that household). Last year is was over $1,000 for each family member...so you want to rant and rave about something? Lets rant and rave about that.

the earth itself creates round abouts of 18,000 yes thousands barrels a day we had this discussion in chem class today and the US has over 700 barrels of oil stored in old salt mine caverns, just in case of a big crash of oil but as long as someone can make money on such a high demand product of course they are going to jack prices.....dont believe this then whatever but im gunna agree with my teachers

There is truth to this. But, we have a valuable export as well.....it's caled food. I have always wondered why we dont treat our food exports the way they treat thier oil. I bet if "we" made it painfully expensive to eat in the same manner they make it painfully expensive to drive they may sing to a different tune.
