Aluminum Rims

The alloys on the ranger,

I wanted to clean mine up, but they look like they are chromed aluminum, so I am hesitant to do any buffing, suggestions?

They aren't chromed. I think they are cleared.

So thats what that stuff peeling on their is, can they still be polished to a shine?

Blast them, polish them, and clear them. That's how I would do it.

I do have a sand blaster o_0, never used it, but it works... I think...
