Aluminum Radiator Help

I'm not gonna lie I have no idea what you mean, mines a manual so I don't think I even have a trans cooler
we are saying to get the fat bastard auto radiator for your engine application........if you elect to use the trans cooler...dont use it for the engine.

He is talking about using the transmission cooler for something other than the transmission in a manual transmission equipped vehicle. For whatever reason, the cooler won't work for engine oil cooling but will for the other things he listed.

Either it isn't big enough or too restrictive because of how small the tubing is, possibly causing an oil starvation problem. My guess, is the latter.

A while back I got a replacement aftermarket 1–row all-aluminum radiator from Radiator Express. The only modification required was trimming the shroud top and bottom. The stock fan and clutch fit just fine. Note that I got a 1–row radiator, and I don't know what I would have had to modify if I had bought a 3–row replacement.

Here's a link to the Radiator Express site with options for your 2004 with V-6. The first (top) is a replacement for the stock unit that still has the plastic. The second is a 3–row replacement, and the bottom is an all-aluminum replacement for the 1–row stock unit. An equivalent to the bottom one is what I got 2 years ago. Hope this helps.
