I have been attempting to isolate and neutralize a "beeping" problem. I have been told that five beeps five consecutive times in a row is an airbag alarm. When I start my Ranger I do not see any airbag light come on. The beeps are random and will usually go off one time within a few minutes of starting the truck, then won't go off again for about 30 minutes. Any ideas on how to disable the beeper?

If it's really an airbag alarm, you want someone experienced to deal with it. Accidental deployments can be fatal.

if your airbag light doesnt illuminate on the dash (the little yellow dude with an airbag about to punch him in the face) when you first turn the key to run, then the bulb needs to be replaced. once you replace the bulb, it wont beep, it'll flash the bulb at you....unless the system has detected the bulb failure in which case replacing the bulb will solve all your ills.

Sounds like the seat belt warning buzzer to me. Try it with your seat belt on.

It's not the seat belt alarm. I have already tried this. The airbag light does not come on when I start the truck. Any ideas on how I can get info regarding replacement of the light?

should be as simple as removing the instrument cluster and replacing the bulb. it'll probably be one of the "mini 194" bulbs that ford has started using in their clusters...i dont remember the exact number for them.
