Air Silencer Removal Question(s)

Hi, ive been looking around my airbox trying to find where the air silencer is, but ive had no luck. Ive seen topics in the 3.0L section, but my engine is a 4.0L and my airbox holds a cone or round filter instead of the square one, so everything looks different.

From what i can see after pulling out the air filter, the airbox goes into the tubing that goes through the quarterpanel and then down to the intake for the system below the headlight. I dont see or feel anything removable inside that tube (as far as i can stick my fingers, it all feels like hard plastic) I didnt try pulling out the lower half of the airbox due to fear of breaking something.

So if anyone has a picture of the air silencer on a 4.0L engine with the same airbox as me that would be awesome.

Also, I have a pic that i snapped of my airbox while i had it apart.

I removed mine and it was super easy to do, and it was obvious where mine the silencer was. I looked at your pic and didnt see one.

Here's how mine looked before I removed it,

The silencer is in the lower left corner of the intake box.

Here it is after

Not totally sure about the 4.0 intake box. Good luck though. Let me know if you figure it out.

It is in the fenderwell and pulls from under the headlight. That whole box comes out. when your done you will look in the filter box and see the inside of the fender, which is where you will be pulling air then.
