air muffler removal

So I'm just starting to do a few mods and i figured that removing the air muffler was a good place to start. I measured the diameter of it at 2 3/4", but when I went to the hardware store and asked for 2 3/4" PVC, the guy looked at me like I was retarded. Did i miss something? Is 2 3/4" not a standard size?

If you are unable to find 2 3/4 PVC (which you should) you most likely will be able to find 2 3/4 PVC in a plumbing specialty store.

Last time I checked, a few minuates ago, there is no such thing as 2 3/4" PVC!

They carry 5' lengths of 2 3/4 by special order at my local mom and pop shop... so im not stupid...

no one said you were stupid. But still that is not reg. pvc that is special order stuff that is not sold for the general use but is nice to know that you can get it.
