I am prepping my 2000 Ranger for a 302 engine with a 4 barrel carb & a distributor (old School) plus converting from the automatic to a World Class T5 out of a 1986 Mustang and I can foresee using very little of the large computer plug on the firewall - right now, I know I need to send the signal for the water temp & oil pressure from the 302 engine back to the stock gauges so my thought is to re-use the sending units from the 3.0 but I am still thinking about what else I will have to retain - today's thought was air bags and I am wondering how the impact signal reaches the air bags - I don't want to eliminate the signal and set them off the first time I hook up the battery back to the truck - if someone can tell me an answer to that and to any other thoughts, you might have, as to what I would still need to retain in the harness from the original 3.0 configuration of the truck, it would be much appreciated
