air bag light

I have a 99 ranger and the air bag light stays on.when u turn the key on the light flashes 3 times then 2 second delay then flashes twice.any help would be appreciated.

You can go and have the code pulled for free at auto zone but i would check the connection under your drivers side seat. This happened to my 03. There is a clip under there, make she it did not come unclipped. You can undo it and hook it back up then turn the key and see if the code still flashes.

A code 32 flashing means high resistance in the driver's airbag circuit. More than likely you have a broken wire in the clockspring assembly behind the steering wheel. They use a thin, flat ribbon with flat wires in them that break from flexing when turning the steering wheel.
