air bag light question

hi, every time i turn on my car the OFF light on the airbag switch turns on, like if i have the passenger airbag off, is this normal? how do i turn it on? the key is in ON position, and if i turn it to OFF nothing happens, it just goes back to ON position, the airbag light in the gauges lits when i turn on the car, and then goes off, like it has to be, normal, but i dont know why the switch lights like if the pass airbag is off.

the switch may be broken. you say when you turn it to the off position it turns back to the on position?

i took a deep look at the switch, it works fine!! when i put it on the OFF position the light stays on. when i place it in ON it lits for like 2-3 seconds and then goes off, it works fine, i didnt knew exactly how it works, now i do lol!!
when placed in OFF it stays OFF i was the one pulling it back to ON
