aftermarket bumpers

does anyone know where to find aftermarket bumpers for rangers? i have an 88 and i cant find any. all i can find are bumpers for jeeps.

i'd like to swap my stock one for a more off road oriented one, maybe that i can put a winch on, also my stock bumper has no tow hooks.

yep it's pretty much impossible....
I recomend going to a local fab shop and having them make you one up, the price is probly about the same.

Have it fabbed at a shop like souldoubt said. You might pay the same as if you bought it from a place online, but you'll get it how you want it the way you want it!

custom is the only way to go. either do it yourself or have a shop do it. there is a thread in the fabrication section of bumers people have made

thats what i was fearing. i have no experience with fab shops, so i wouldnt know what to ask for.

what do i say? - 'hey i want a bumper that looks like this that i can put on my ranger.'??

or do i have to be very specific. i like the idea of custom tow hooks. i could make them look like tusks... like on grand cherokees

also how huch does a custom bumper run for on average?

Yep thats exactly what you say. My local shop quoted $500 when I brought in a picture from dixon bros racing and said I want something similar to this.

i live in phoenix, az. and theres a pretyy healthy supply of shops here. there are like 4 fab shops all within a mile of where i live.


all right then, ill bring them a pic of what i want and hopefully the price will be affordable enough. thanks guys.

i have this tube bumper from my 88 BII.....it's rusted on the ends (i wirebrushed them and painted it) and it has a few 4 wheeling dents. i'd sell it to you for $50 plus shipping....but that could be expensive from NC to AZ

IDK if the frame width is the same and it doesnt have a place for a winch, you could get a fab shop to build something for you for cheap.
