Broke another axle:sad:, where's the best place to find an axle that's a little stronger than stock for a 8.8(28 spline)?

8.8 out of an explorer. They're 31 spline. 95+ will have disc brakes stock...

No, all I want is a stronger axle. I just put in a Detroit Locker and 4.56's and like it or not, I ain't changing to 31 spline right now. I can't afford that.

you may be able to find a moser replacement for the shorter axle shaft from an SVO applicable Mustang but I doubt youll find the longer shaft besides factory.

I am curious what you are doing to break the shafts? If you are running what is in your signature 35x15.5 and locker.

Found both sides thru Summit Racing "Alloy Axles" I think was the brand name.
I don't know why it broke this time. It was bouncing on rocks trying to make a hill the first time(my bad, but I really wanted to make it :))
. I've no longer got the Swampers, I put some KM2's on it so I could stay in the seat while going down the hi-way. This time was on the street letting out the clutch a little aggressively after waiting on an idiot.

hopefully the replacements make the difference for you. I can completely see running it hard with 35x15.5 swampers doing it. Some real heavy tires. I can also see KM2s hard launched on pavement doing it as well. KM2s hook up awesome on pavement......:icon_thumby:
