Aerostar 4X4

Thanks guy's. Unfortunately I've had very little time to wheel it this year, as I've taken on some major projects on my house this year. RB

OK so I came across this thread and just could not stop reading it. I am floored by how awesome this thing turned out. An Aerostar was eh IMO, but the BroncoStar is simply Amazing!! Excellent work Rulebreaker!

Thanks! In the next year or so it will have a Dana 60 front axle and a V8. RB

I find it awesome that I started reading this thread that was started in 2007, and is still alive and kicking in 2010. Much respect for building the sickest van I've ever seen, and keeping us updated on it after almost 3 years =].

I have a 89' Aerostar XLT I so want to do this type of conversion to. I think it might be time to start dusting off the Dana 60's in the garage and looking for parts :icon_welder:

Rulebreaker- I am still amazed of how awesome this build is :headbang:

If u were closer I'd give u a hand. With these vans u need a 60 in the front but to be honest a D35 would work in the rear. JK I would put a 35 in my lawn mower. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

me & my little toy truk look at your thread every time we see an up-date!!!!!!

I thought when i started this project you all would think I'm crazy and try to talk me out of it but Ya'll have been very supportive and that means allot. I'll be doing some more mods to it here in the spring.

I broke another stub shaft so i ordered a pair of Chrome moly stub shafts, 760X's and full circle clips, so hopefully this will hold till I find a 2wd front axle for my one ton so i can rob the Dana 60 out of it. The 60 already has the right gears so it will just be a matter of finding regular outers for it as it's a dually. The only thing I use the dually for is hauling fire wood so I no longer need the front axle and the 4x4 no longer works anyway (Long story).

stub shaft?

full circle clips?

outers?

Apparrotly I know very little about everything.....

you have 9 mouths to feed now & twins ,so will it ever return to normal for you? Great build on a budget & great looking twin daughters
