my clutch releases way too far from the floor, and sometimes causes it to slip because it doesnt release all the way sometimes. how do i adjust it so it releases closer to the floor.

you cant adjust it, its hydraulic.

sounds like your clutch disk is about done. time for a clutch job.

i dont think so. it only slips sometimes when doing 65 and guning it. but i thhink thats because im leaking oil. clutch has been this way for a long time

oil desolves the friction material used on clutch disks. once the friction material is contaminated, theres no way to get rid of the oil. id get the rear main seal fixed and replace the clutch.

its not even the rear main seal. i got the truck from my neighbor, gave it to a friend who didnt care for it very well. it had 10 vaccumm leaks, timing was out. and hadnt had a tune up in 2 years. well it burns oil but she runs like a top. its not really leaking anymore. the rear main doesnt leak on this. but i thank you for the help. ill deal with the clutch untill it goes. clutch feels great when releasing. just releases high. and sometimes when its really hot out itll slip if im getting on it without down shifting to 3rd. its a 4 speed btw. thanks for the info.
