Howdy Ya’ll! I have a 1999 ranger xlt, it has a small Ford Emblem in the bottom right hand corner of the tailgate. I was wondering how I should add a larger emblem in the center of the tailgate like the newer 2006-2012 era trucks. (Please correct those dates if I’m wrong). I’m almost completely certain I’ll have to punch holes in the tailgate, but I don’t want to if I don’t have to. I’ve added pictures to demonstrate the differences. I also like the trims of the newer but not newest ford rangers, you know, the decals on the fender that say xlt and ranger. I’m considering adding those too.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I have two ford rangers XLT super cab 4.0L 4x4. One is a manual transmission the other is an automatic. Can someone tell me whether the rear ends in these trucks are interchangeable. ?

I'm not super clear on the differences but I think you should just be able to grab a late model red tailgate from a junkyard. That's going to be your cleanest install. Check car-part for stuff in your area.

Yes. The tech library is a great resource too. https://www.therangerstation.com/tech/ford-ranger-rear-axles/#gsc.tab=0
Usually its best practice to start a new thread if you have an off topic question.

do the axle codes on the door sticker match?
the biggest concern would be gear ratios.

The 9” Ford badges have indexing pins on them to fit holes in the tailgate. You can cut the pins off and not have to drill your tailgate. The badges actually attach with pressure sensitive double stick tape, should come on the back of new badges.

I was wondering if you could just cut any pins off and use some 3m double sided foam tape to put that badge on

The 3M tape is awesome. I'd probably be ok with taping a door skin on with it. LOL
