Well....I added another one to my collection.....something to keep my poor 72 Mustang company.

Bought a 1967 Mustang Coupe with the 289/C4 auto.

Car is pretty much bone stock. It had been in a barn for about the last 17 years of its life. I am the 3rd owner of the car, but unfortunately the registration was lost for the car many years ago. I am currently working on getting the car registered again in my name.

It needs a couple dings fixed and a paint job. There is also a couple small spots in the floor that need to be repaired. Over all the car is all there and all original. Still sitting on Uniroyal Polyglass tires.

Car will be getting the body work done and painted along with getting the Crager S/S wheels from the 72 swapped over with some new rubber. Not sure what I'm doing with the 289 yet, has a sticking lifter right now but the car runs and drives. Might just spruce up the 289 with a mild cam/headers/4bbl intake and carb and a general going over.

Car will be getting power brakes and a disc conversion up front as well to make it a bit more modern.

As it sat for the last who knows how long

Those are brand new Ford reverse lights in those boxes as the ones on the car are pitted....the previous owner bought them years ago and never installed them.

Wow, that's beautiful! You're a lucky man...I love the interior.

that's in pretty damn good shape, nice score

Looks like it needs a couple front floor pans and a bunch of clean up underneath, but nothing too serious.

So I've pretty much decided the direction I want to take with this car. It's going restomod for sure. This is my inspiration for the car that I want to build.

One step at a time....gives the car a whole new attitude!

Sweet....I had a 67 coup 289/c4...wish i still had it. I want to do a build very similar to that blue car, but maybe use a 67-68 fastback and a 4spd.

Spent the day detailing the interior and exterior of the car, cleans up nice! I hit the car with some Meguires Ultimate Compound to try and take some of the fade and oxidization out of the poor old red paint. It came out a lot better but is far from perfect. Lots of sanding scratches from the previous paint job from 20 plus years ago.

Damn.... That looks good! Nose doesn't look as high in the other pics as it did in the pic on the hoist.
