The CVT's are no longer being made. It's 6 speeds now.

This is a concept interior for some new Ford somethingorother. Not too bad, but would be even better if the backlight color could be changed.

How is that car doing for you? I think I want one of those next and retire my Ranger when it hits about 100K by the end of this summer.

Did you get the V6? I don't think I want the 4-banger.

I also want a sunroof that doesn't cavitate (or whatever that term is) when you get on the interstate like Ford sunroofs have been known to do. Did you get a roof?

So far so good. Its getting about 23mpg with the V6. It should get better with age and if the weather in MN ever gets above 0. (Its March for christ's sake!)

It has a "moon roof" sun roof, what ever they want to call it. Its so cold here I haven't used it. I did notice that when you just pop it up, it has accordion like shields on both sides. I don't know if this would help with the cavitating or not.

The thing handles awesome. The sport package has different suspension and it becomes very apparent on on/off ramps. Hitting that thing like I'm on my motorcycle, the car has like zero roll.

That 6sp tranny keeps the RPM's down at like 2k all the time, the benefit of that is its really quiet inside. To me this is the biggest benefit of the V6 over the 4 banger, I had a 4 a while back as a service rental and I liked the car a lot (duh I bought one) but it was noisy.
