I think it's all a government conspiracy! They don't want us wheeling, so they close down the land. They don't want us riding dirtbikes, so the restrict when and where we can ride. They don't want us shooting, so they ban guns. We find a way around the rules, so they change the rules, gas is too expensive, lead bullets are being outlawed. Next thing you know they'll repeal the 21st amendment and reinstate the 18th (that's when they took away the BOOZE!)
What?! time to get off my soapbox! OK, give me my pill and the nice white jacket with the sleeves that tie in back!
Cheers all!
The rich get richer and the rest of us pay them to do it!
:}
What I dont get is, they say like under alaska and texas alone we have enough oil there to last the USA like 30 years, then once thats gone theres still another 48 states they can drill and get oil from. Why arent you using that oil or at least using the reserves since we have like 100 million barrels in reserve?

Gas prices don't stop me from wheelin any less because I only find the time to do it a few times a year. And being a corporate fat cat, the cost of gas is negligible for me anyway.
The scarey thing is my ranting may not be too far off.
I had a history professor who hypothesized that if we use all the oil in other countries, then when it's gone, only the USA will have oil, so we will still have the power!
thats actually what im thinkin aswell, theres oil everywhere under US soil....
the problem is it's too expensive to get out of the ground at this point, not to mention, do you want a refinery in your backyard?
The oilsands in Canada have been goin' off lately, only becuase the cost has finally matched the technology.
Well its about to be to expensive at the pump also. If I were the president one of hte first things I would look towards doing is drilling on our own land. Your creating jobs for the american people, not relying on foreign oil, cost would greatly go down for gas prices. At what point do you say, gas prices are to high and this is getting out of hand. We need to drill on our own land now? I dont see any bad to this idea. Seems like it would fix a lot of the countries problem. Creating jobs, lowing fuel prices. Seems like a good idea to me.
if i wasnt paying almost $4.00 a gallon and had a high paying job those refineries would provide i dont think id mind all too much, and besides, u dont need the refinery next to where u drill, its why u have pipe lines to pump it to a more remote area
The problem is the oil companies are making money like they never have before, and I don't think they want to give it up. I'm Republican and I voted for Bush, but I think he's more worried about his rich Texas oil buddies than he is the American people when it come to gas prices.
Guess it was inevitable that a wheeling conversation would eventually turn to gas prices. But since we're on the subject, of course full prices are high, because Bush is a Texas oil man. The difference between republicans and democrats is that republicans care about money and believe everyone is on their own. Hence the reason that most of the upper class are republicans, it's the party that caters to them. The democrats believe in trying to help the little guy. They don't want to see outsourcing nor see the other 95% of america who aren't rich pay their last 2 cents at the pump. It's turning into an ugly situation. Remember what V for Vendetta said about America? It was only a couple of short lines but it's starting to look more viable every day.
