ACTUAL MPG Thread

1987 Ford Bronco 2
2.9L V-6
Factory 15" steel rims with P235/75R15 Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires
2wd with dummy t-case
Open 3.45
Swapped in 4wd M5OD-R1 from a '94 Ranger

It will get 25mpg on the highway, and 21-23mpg in town. The best it's ever got was 26.2mpg round trip on a nice summer day (70 degrees so I didn't have to run the AC).

Thats some shitty gas mileage for a bike

maybe he's driving the bike hard, even a bike gets less than desireable fuel milage when youre hard on the throttle.

1992 Ranger, 4.0L 2WD. On average I'm getting 15 in town, 22 cruising at 75. Probably an average of 18. My last two tanks came out to 19 MPG and 21 MPG.

Work Van
2005 E250 5.4L, Auto, Gearing not sure

87 4x4 Ext Cab Ranger, 5 Speed, 4.0L, 4:10 running on 30x9.5

My brain hurts this morning, so I'm not going to make a nice spreadsheet to make it easy to read. I'm just going to post the my data sheets as scans.

96' Ranger XLT
2.3L I4, 5 speed manual, 3.73 7.5" axle, 225/70R15 tires, full synthetic oils in drivetrain after 85,ooo miles, and I mostly drive city roads with a mix of highways.

This is 2 photo of my new toy that I had for a while, but got a new one under warranty that stays on now. Both photos are on the same strech of interstate taken within the same spot of road. Just the first one is going South bound @ 60mph with a 10mph North wind (tail wind) . Second photo is going North bound @ 60mph with a 10mph North wind (head wind).

2003 reg. cab, 2wd, 2.3l 5spd. 235/75r15's. 23 city/27 hwy, and I don't worry about trying to drive efficiently.

2007 Suzuki GSX-R600, K&N air filter, 32 city/39 hwy. Much better mileage and much more fun!

I've noticed the mpg's dropping on all three of my vehicles in the last year,,,and I keep em tuned!

My harley really shows the drop in mpgs.....normally it gets 45 mpg's & has lots of pep.....lately it gets 35 mpg's & noticeable loss of pep.

Both vehicles have dropped 3 to 5 mpg's in the last year....same thing with Hawaiian Punch---no zing any more...but the new generation wouldn't know that....they're used to the low grade/low power fuel & punch....:icon_rofl:

you know, its entirely possible that fuel formulations have changed, resulting in lower mpg's. its the only explanation if you have a milage drop among many vehicles and everything is kept in good shape. fuel quality is the one thing we cant check or do anything about. topped off the tank tonight and got 15, rediculous when i usually average 17 this time of year.

It's about freaking time someone else on here got a scanguage. I've been singing their praises for a year now!

94 Splash 22.3 combined with 100% gas, 20.7 with E10

93 XLT 4x4 18.6 combined so far with E10. Haven't filled it up with real gas yet (never around those stations when I need to for some reason).

96 2wd 4.0 5spd 17 around town and 21-2 Hwy

UPDATE:

Truck #2:
1998 Ford Ranger Std. cab, Stepside bed, 2wd
5.0 OHV V-8
30lb injectors
255 Walbro fuel pump
M90 Hybrid "X-Charger" Supercharger @5PSI
Cragar 15X8 Soft 8's with a 28 inch tire
4.10 LSD Rear end
4R70W Transmission
Fresh everything after the V-8 swap
Lowered 2/3 (Front/back)

14/15 in town, 18-19 highway.

1.)Extended cab

2.)2.3L 5 speed

3.)4.10 rear end

4.)tonno cover

5.)Stock everything

I mainly do city driving and usually get low to mid 20's mpg. So I'm guessing high 20's to maybe 30 highway.
