the problem is i have an 87 ho block w/ gt40p heads and intake and now i have nowhere for the ACT. whats the easiest way to put one in? do i have to put a hole in the intake like the stock mustang one or by the looks of the one for the explorer it may go in the plastic intake hose. if thats the case whats the specifics of the wiring since theres a different plug?
oh, and im going to be running a MAF mustang harness and computer
thanks

You could make the wires to it longer and run it to the air intake hose, tap the intake, or just plug it in a lay it on the intake. One of the mustang mags did a test to see if any performance or horse power could be gained or would be lost by just laying it on the intake and found no diffrence at all. They also did the ECT and found no diffrence.

Most who use the GT40 intake on a Mustang drill and tap the #5 runner, and put the ACT sensor there. Then use the Mustang sensor/wiring.
