abs valve fittings

I want to remove the abs valve and join the two lines together.I tried unions,however 3/16" is too small and 1/4" too big.So am I correct in assuming these are metric (?),and if so-what size?

I did this to mine not long ago to my 91, I forget the size off head. Ill find out for you guys tomorrow.

I ended up cutting the lines and changing the fitting then reflaring the lines to 3/16
