abs toner ring

I could use some info on how to r&r an abs toner ring on a 8.8 rear differential carrier. Thanks in advance

if youve already got the carrier out and the ring gear off you can just tap it off.

no you should be able to just tap it into place. just make sure the little tab is in its notch on the carrier, tap it on, then put your ring gear back.

Thanks for giving me the info I need. I've read varying experiences so I'll now attack the swap to the Tracktion Loc carrier.

You shouldn't have to heat anything. If you do that means that someone else heated it before you and warped the parts.

Aside from the fact that its a good way to set it on fire, it warps precisely machined parts. Good way to break stuff.
