I know the rotors are different from one to the other. I just picked up a ABS D35 for my truck, if I need rotors am I stuck with ABS ones or will non ABS ones work?

My '85 predates front wheel ABS and I have no desire to add it to my truck.

Then you can use either one.. As long as they are for the same application otherwise.

Only difference between them are the tone rings, and a few bucks

And IIRC the ABS rotors are the cheaper ones.

Even if you use the ABS rotors without things like sensors, wiring, and and ABS module you don't have ABS.

I am using ABS rotors on my 87 because that's what was on the axle when I got it and they just needed cut, not replaced. I sure don't have ABS on my truck just because of it.

Just buy which ever is cheaper.

That was the plan, I haven't priced either yet but was just making sure they didn't change something else.

Nope. Just that tone ring. Like I said, I think I remember seeing the ABS rotors being cheaper anyway, so lots of guys just get them and let the tone rings go along for the ride.

If you cared, could you just knock the tone rings off?
