It's pretty bad when you can't even work on your own car because of the inferior parts available through aftermarket.

BS. Working on your own vehicle does not require use of aftermarket parts. I have yet to see a Ford dealership that won't sell parts over the counter, and you can order Motorcraft parts from a number of on-line wholesalers.

But yes, I greatly prefer NAPA parts over AZ or Advance. I have far fewer problems with the parts and a much easier time getting replacements when the parts are wrong.
