After reading hundreds of threads ive noticed nobody has directly answered a frequent question, "What Scan tools are availiable in the retail market that cycle the ABS HCU?" Many individuals on here want to bleed thier HCU and brakes by this method instead of pedal pushing and gravity(which are fine and work), but some obviously want to cycle thier solinoids. Lets please skip the gravity and "pedel pushing always work for me" or the "why would you want to do that?"

So everybody out thier, lets identify the "scan tool" with a make and model number that allow the DIYers to bleed thier ABS HCU. :icon_hornsup:

I would like to know this as well. Is it a dealer only thing or can one be purchased for the DIYer?

I bought the SOLUS-PRO scan tool made by SNAP-ON TOOLS.
It has the HCU brke bleed that you speak of. I don't know that I woulds consider it a retail purchase. I'm a tech at an Independant shop. The Scanner runs about $3200.
There are some others out there; Genisys & OTC are some brand names (not sure of the spelling or cost) I am aware that these can be purchased on AMAZON.COM

Generally the tools you speak of are prohibitively expensive, with price tags into 4 digits. That is why the question hasn't been answered.

Also, according to Ford, the ABS service bleed is only for the purpose of clearing the HCU reservoir of air after the system has been opened up-stream. A traditional pedal-pump bleeding it still required.
