Couldn’t find my old thread to repost to so I’m gonna have to make a new one. After a few years of my 4wd conversion being short distance finished. Once finished it got put in the back burner due to me not researching enough and putting in the wrong transmission. I put one out of a 99 in an 04 and where the computer gets the speed signal is different. Broke the tail housing off both hoping to just swap the reluctor wheel, snap ring and BB but the tail shafts are different so I ended up just swapping the transmission today and I’ve finally got a speedo back. I was hoping that the computer can now sense a speedo that it would fix my abs issue but it didn’t. I’m not abs savvy so someone help me out. Would I need the abs module from the same year donor truck or my year model but with 4x4. Is there a way around this with the Dakota digital? I’ve got one of those. There is a guy on here that’s very good with this stuff. User name is Ron. Thanks

Ron has left the forum, hasn't been seen for many months.

What parts did you use for the 4x4 conversion? I'm wondering if the signal from front wheels is different. Not sure how you'd fix that on an 04.
