it's in the lifting for cheap section, it's about building your own axle pivot brackets. the modeling software recommended by the poster doesn't seem to be that easy for me to get, a search sent me to seimens, kinda out of my league. is the poster still in the group? i have put a b2 suspension on my ranger, good fit except for the axle pivot brackets. the ones from the b2 won't fit the smaller crossmember of the ranger. changing the crossmember seems really extreme. i could really use some advice on this or if the poster of that article is here, maybe some modeling help. thanks

thanks 4x4junkie, ya it is a 2x, i thought about that after the post. hate it when that happens, also it's an '87. i have recently looked at about 30 bronco's and/or ranger's and the difference appears to be what engine they are equipped with. big cross for 6 cly, small for 4cly. of course all bronco's had 6cyls. i'll look up copykat and thanks again.

No, it's based on whether it's 2WD or 4WD.
The narrower member is also unique to 2WD Rangers. BIIs and Explorers all used the wider 4WD-style one even if 2WD.
