a4ld swap question, 2.9-3.0

hello i have a 3.0 a4ld im trying to sell so i can go to an m50dr1, and i have a buyer but he has a 2.9, i know that a 3.0 tranny will only bolt to a 3.0 and a 2.8, 2.9 and 4.0 all bolt up, is there an adapter for this tranny? thanx for the reply, i looked at advance adapters and they didnt show anything. also is the bellhousing interchangeable like some foreign transmissions ive seen in the past? thanx for the info.

okay, rules that one out, so is the bellhousing removable on the tranny? ive seen it on something, i think it was a lmtv military trk, doubt itll work on common stuff but just have to ask.
