My a4ld will not shift into overdrive, I've heard this could be the problem.

How much does it cost?

Where is it located at?

And how do you fix it? :headbang::headbang:

all i know is is on your valve body of the tranny
ps. i had a mil on and it would not shift

it is located on the valve body. the valve body needs to be removed paying close attention to where the bolts were due to length. then remove the separator plate and there is a clip that holds it in. you need two different gaskets to replace the valve body 1 between the separator plate and the valve body and 1 between the separator plate and case.

Solenoids are known to fail in these units...but i would put a scanner on it to be sure computer is commanding 4th gear and if it is then i would check the wiring to be sure the ground wire for 4th gear solenoid is grounding..i have seen both issues cause a no 4th gear.

just my 2 cents worth
