I did mine as a true dual - no headers - stock manifolds but everything else is doubled up. It sounds better and does respond better according to my ultra tuned butt dyno.
I think hedman has the best. They were discontinued a long time ago and are getting hard to find.Pacesetter I think still makes them and are probably your best bet.
pacesetter has headers for a 4.0. u can get the matallic ceramic chrome... whatever for 370 i think. the blacks are like 180 or 200. idk how good they r tho. dont know anyone that has them. i have true duals on mine. cuttin the cats off makes it louder. i had it yed off after the cats with 2 12" glasspacks. then i wanted it louder so i cut the cats off and the y.... and the o2 sensor (had to to make it true). had true put on it. it made a big diference.
Ok here is a short video of how mine sounds. I changed out my Idler and Tensioner Pulleys this morning and shot a quick vid with my digital camera so it may not be the best. First part is of the engine bay and then I gun it a couple times . . .
i have true duals on my m112 supercharged 4.0 ranger. soo far its working, havent done the final tune on it yet, but i think im gonna keep it that way. right off the header is the stock tubing with those 2 stock cats...then it goes up to 2.5 inch
