2020 Ford Edge Titanium. has the door pillar keyless number pad for unlocking the car. did not get the code from the dealer when I bought it, talked to my local Ford dealer and he said to check the owners manual, when it was new a card with the access code was put in with the manuals. otherwise it is a 50 dollar charge to go through and have them retrieve it from the pcm. well as my luck usually runs, that card was not in with the manuals.

So. can Forscan retrieve it? any other methods or places I might find it? or just chuck 50 at the ford dealer and be done with it?

Check the in cab fuse box. Ford calls it the body control module. There should be a 5 digit code (it may be 6 digit and have a letter and the end) on it. That’s your code.

They stopped printing them on the control modules or fuse boxes because too many people knew to look there and then could break into the vehicles.

I would just spend the $50 and be done with it. Or, take it to them for an oil change and ask the service manager to do you a favor while they have it in the bay and read the code. They just have to hook up the computer for about 3 minutes. A lot of times they will do that for you if you have it in the shop for another reason.

What year did they stop? I though that was 2022.

No love on that one. it did have a sticker with a qr code and a few part number/ alpha numeric code but nothing that looked like a 5 digit code.

looking like it may be a trip to the Ford Dealer again...

Forscan can do that at least up to 13 model. IDK how different a 2020 would be.

I pulled Mom's for her 2013 Fusion.

My understanding is that Ford hid codes in different places. The last one I searched out was in the center console, like you had to partially disassemble the console to read it, but I don’t remember the year or model.

No idea if Forscan can read it or not but it would be worth trying

Now they don't even print the card. There is a process you can do (if you have both keys/fobs) to get the bcm to tell you what the code is. That started in 24 with F-150.

My 24 ranger has it on the bcm cover, or some module under the steering wheel area. I saw when i was installung the auto start/stop disabler
