A mistake

Hondas are freakin expensive. I'm looking for an Accord for my sister to replace her POS Sentra. We looked at one yesterday. 1996, 75k miles, LX model, automatic, leather seats.....$6000. With lots of scratches on it. Most other used Accords in similar shape/mileage are around that price too. My 1992 Accord EX with 125k miles is worth about $2700 according to KBB. I say if you want a good but cheap car, get something American. They don't seem to hold their value as well which means it's cheaper for you to buy. And I personally wouldn't buy ANYTHING with over 200k miles.

2grand will buy alot of gas... or a good bike (motorized or other). My guess is that car is gonna be a headache or death trap. By the way my first car was an '89 Civic hatchback, with a 1.sumthin' liter, and 4 on the floor. It got about 37mpg, but then I totalled it, t-boned a '79 Caprice
